Getting started
Learn how 50KLoans works and what to expect.
50KLoans is a free loan connection service — not a lender. You submit a secure online request and we match you with participating lenders who may offer personal loans up to $50,000. You review any offers and choose whether to proceed. There is no obligation to accept.
No. 50KLoans connects consumers with lenders and financial service providers in our network. Loan terms, rates, and funding decisions are made by the lender you choose — not by 50KLoans.
People use personal loans for debt consolidation, home repairs, medical bills, auto expenses, moving costs, and other major purchases. A personal loan gives you a fixed lump sum with predictable monthly payments — often at a lower rate than revolving credit.
You can request up to $50,000. The amount offered depends on the lender, your income, credit profile, and state availability. You may be presented with a higher or lower amount than requested.
Applying
What you need before and during your loan request.
Generally you must be at least 18, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a steady income, and hold a valid checking account for direct deposit. Individual lenders may have additional criteria.
Most borrowers complete the initial request in about two minutes. If matched, additional verification steps with a lender may take longer depending on their process.
Yes. The 50KLoans request form is fully mobile-friendly. You can apply from a smartphone, tablet, or computer — no branch visit required.
You typically need basic contact details, employment and income information, housing status, and checking account details for funding. Exact fields may vary by lender.
Credit & approval
How credit checks and approval decisions work.
Our initial matching process uses a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your FICO score and is not visible to other lenders. A lender may run a hard inquiry if you choose to proceed with a specific offer.
Many lenders in our network consider borrowers with less-than-perfect credit by weighing income, employment history, and debt-to-income ratio. Bad credit does not automatically disqualify you from seeing matched offers.
Approval is not guaranteed. Each lender sets its own criteria. Submitting a request lets you explore available options without obligation, but the lender makes the final decision.
A soft inquiry is used for pre-qualification and has zero impact on your credit score. A hard inquiry occurs when a lender formally reviews your credit for a lending decision and may temporarily lower your score by a few points.
Rates & repayment
Fees, APR, payments, and funding timing.
No. 50KLoans is 100% free to use. Any origination fees, late fees, or penalties are set by your chosen lender and disclosed in your loan agreement before you sign.
APR typically ranges from 5.99% to 35.99% for qualified customers, depending on creditworthiness, loan amount, term, and lender. Your specific rate is disclosed before you accept any offer.
Repayment terms are set by the lender you accept. Payments are typically auto-debited from your linked checking account on scheduled due dates. Terms commonly range from 61 days to 72 months.
Many lenders allow early payoff, but prepayment policies vary. Check your loan agreement or ask your lender directly about prepayment penalties before signing.
If approved, funds are often sent by ACH direct deposit as soon as the next business day. Timing depends on your lender, bank processing, and when you complete verification. Weekends and holidays may add delay.
